Hi, so last week it was pretty chaotic. I had some medical emergencies, and that delayed everything.
So without further ado, here's today's issue:
What I actually worked on (even if it was just 20 minutes).
One stupid idea I had (and whether I talked myself out of it).
Something I learned or read that changed how I think.
What I'm avoiding/procrastinating on (because transparency).
Cat Pictures people send me(feel free to reply to emails with your own cat pictures if you want them to appear in next issues.
What I worked on
Bought the domain milkyjugs.com because I thought it was funny, and I'm gonna use that for the spending tracker for now.
With regards to that, I added login(still didn’t publish tho), and now I'm working on syncing the offline data to my DB. Then allow users to download their data. I don't want to lock in users if they find a better app somewhere. It's my job as an entrepreneur to build a better app than my competitors, not lock you in with an inferior experience.
I understand Steve Jobs wouldn't work like this, but I grew up watching Dragon Ball, and Goku only became good at what he did because he wanted to fight his enemies at their full strength. Life is more exciting that way.
One Stupid Idea I had
Read some machine learning papers, and I kept thinking of trying to simulate what a Buddhist AI would look like, how it would act. I wonder what would happen with it.
Something I learned or read
This article on tech bro buddhism is pretty damn interesting, it matches my experience with meeting engineers who practice buddhism. They strip it away from all spirituality into something akin to the press of a button. “Press this for Enlightenment". I had that idea too, back when I did my first Vipassana retreat in 2018.
Since then, I started valuing non-materialism and spirituality far more.
What I'm avoiding/procrastinating on
Honestly? Doing the filmmaking course homework lol, and building my app. Lots of things happened this week, and those things ended up at the bottom of the list. I'm working now on removing things I don't want out of life as I promised a close friend to have a more unified vision for what I want my life to be about by September 18th, haha.
Cat Picture of the Week

This is my friend Denise's Yanfei. He is a good, strong, affectionate, and playful cat. At first scared of everything, he is now confident, curious, and daring. He socializes with any visitors and immediately wins everyone's heart. He has an Instagram page called NarcisoYanfei(https://www.instagram.com/narcisoyanfei). Feel free to check it out.
If you want to see your cat in next week's issue, just reply to this email with the picture, the cat's name, and something cool about them.
As always, feel free to reply to this email with thoughts, suggestions, cat pics(we also take dog pics too!), and anything on your mind.
